Likewise, he has carried out projects and shows in public spaces, such as Lange Voorhout Square, in The Hague (2010), Piazza del Duomo, Chiesa e Chiostro di Sant’Agostino, in Pietrasanta (2008), Casa de América, in Madrid (2007), the Convent of San Francisco de Asís, in Havana (2006), the Plaza Juárez and the former Temple of Corpus Christi, in Mexico City (2005), the Church of Santa Catarina, in Lithuania (2003 ), the Espace Bellevue, in Biarritz (2001), and the Casa de América in Madrid, on the main façade of which he created the monumental piece Chalchihuites (2008).

Javier Marín has received various awards and distinctions, including the First Prize at the Third International Biennial of Beijing (2008) and the competition for the main altarpiece and the presbytery of the Basilica Cathedral of Zacatecas (2010). In recognition of his traveling exhibition De 3 en 3, which toured seven European cities (Pietrasanta, Milan, The Hague, Brussels, La Baule-Escoublac, Luxembourg and Rome), the Queen of the Netherlands awarded him the title of Knight of the Order from Orange-Nassau (2009).
